The Salazar Construction Engineering Review started in 1958. From its humble beginnings, SALCON grew and soon it was recognized as prestigious and an out standing Engineering Review Center. SALCON became a make of competence that everybody could rely on.
Year 1983. The nation was gripped in the turmoil of a national crisis. The concerned family of Dr. Doroteo Salazar who believed in education as the solution to the economic and social ill decided to open another quality school which would some how meet the exigencies of the time.Under the existing conditions the SALCON Institute as it was then called, came to being.It opened the first and second year classes with 211 students taking the technical curriculum in the secondary department.Indeed with meager resources at hand with a faint heart with lesser resolved wuold just have given up the undertaking,but the thought of helping the young,especially the deserving,challenge this family to a decision. After some suggestions Dr, Droteo salazar and family fortunately agreed that the same SALCON Institute of Technology be change to SALAZAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.
The academic performance of the SIT from 1984-1985 drew the attention f the critical public. This lead to its acceptance,faith and confidence of the discerning majority, and subsequently to its phenomenal growth.
School year 1986-19867 saw the first crop f graduates SIT could call her vary own.She nurtured and shae them for their greenhorn years,until they were ready with their college work.After years had passed,the name SIT was change into SALAZAR COLLEGES OF SCIENCE AND INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SCSIT). Through out all the years SCSIT has been holding their banner high in different fields and scholastic endeavors.The school has become the acronym of SUCCESS.
Students leave the portals knowing that SCSIT has played a very important role in the unfolding f their future;teachers are filled with the sense of achievement and fulfillment for jobs well done;but nothing can beat the feelings and fulfillment commitment of Dr. Doroteo M. Salazar Founder, president and owner f SIT,who has reach for a distant star and got it;and made a dream and magnificent obsession come true.Hence, SCSIT (Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology) is one of the prestigious schools here in Cebu that support and help the less fortunate to achieve their dreams in life.This school provides scholarship of 100% f tuition fee for those deserving students. Yet the school doesn't have school website in which it is very vital as now. This thesis book undertakes the creation of the site.
